Department of Student Affairs

Greetings!

It is my pleasure to lead this Division in supporting all students at Rocky Vista University. We are fully invested in this student body and we are committed to providing excellence to complement the academic programs of the institution. The goal of Student Affairs is to create a strong student community that values inclusion, respect, commitment, and professionalism. This is done by promoting and demonstrating the institutional core values: integrity, collegiality, compassion, diversity, excellence, and service.

We have a fantastic team that guides students through their education at RVU. Get to know them early because they are important relationships that are of great benefit! Our services include: student life, academic and career advising, student activities, leadership, student records, academic support, tutoring, disability services, counseling services, and more. In addition, we work with students to assist in the resolution of problems and crisis management. We provide referrals to campus and community resources and we deal with emergency concerns and complaints. Finally, we actively engage in the promotion of student and professional development.

Our office encourages students to be fully engaged in their education – not only with their academics, but in other activities that best prepare students for their careers. Students, we challenge you to consider new perspectives and try new experiences as you move through your education. We promote your individual growth, facilitate constructive engagement in our community, and encourage the development of life skills that will help you be successful well into your careers.

I am excited to work with all of you to ensure your educational experience is filled with challenge, support, and fantastic growth opportunities.

Warmly,

Amy Schlueter
