Catherine was born in Bogota, Colombia and immigrated with her family to the United States when she was eight years old. After living in Florida, Georgia, and California, her family finally settled in the suburbs of Atlanta. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video from Georgia State University. Prior to RVU, she worked for Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK), an environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting the Chattahoochee River, its lakes and tributaries. She’s excited to be a part of a team dedicated to supporting students and helping to advance the university’s mission of quality healthcare education.
