Biographical Information


Cheryl McCormick, PhD, MT(ASCP) is a Department Chair of Biomedical Sciences and Professor of Physiology at Rocky Vista University. Prior to joining RVU, Dr. McCormick was Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for three years. In addition to teaching physiology at RVU, she serves on the COM Curriculum Committee. She currently serves as guest editor for the journals, Advances in Physiology Education and Laboratory Medicine. She also recently reviewed a proposed book entitled, “Health Care: The Call to Make a Difference.” Her research interests include interprofessional education, faculty development, predictors of medical student success, and preclinical curricula development.
