Biographical Information


Dr. Tsivis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from MIT and a Doctor of Medicine degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. Following an internship in General Surgery at the University of Miami, he completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Vermont.

For most of his career, Dr. Tsivis was a General Pathologist in clinical practice, both as a hospital-based Pathologist and Laboratory Medical Director in South Florida, and as an independent Laboratory Pathologist and Medical Director in Tampa. In 2015, Dr. Tsivis began a career teaching medical school pathology in the Caribbean, most recently at Saba University School of Medicine. He returned to the United States to pursue teaching pathology at the Southern Utah campus of Rocky Vista University.
