Matt McMaster, OMS II

What are your medical interests?
Internal medicine. Maybe hematology-oncology, but I haven’t decided just yet.

What do you appreciate most about Colorado and the local area?
The skiing and hiking can’t be beat.

What is a fun fact about you?
I lived in Holland for three years.

What are your plans after RVUCOM?
Matching into a residency program!

Why did you opt for osteopathic medicine?
I wanted a broad introduction to medicine to prepare me for the rest of my career.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else.

What advice do you have for prospective students?
Pick a school that you can see yourself being happy at. Everything else will fall into place.
