Presidential Message | Reflections on Recent Events

March 27, 2021

Presidential Message | Reflections on Recent Events [March 24, 2021] Dear RVU Family, In the wake of the recent events occurring in our nation, I thought it important and healing to share a few thoughts and concerns… What happened in Atlanta, what happened in Boulder, what happens all too often in cities and towns across the US, is an affront to our humanity. Presidential Message | Statement of Violent Protest Today at the US Capitol [January 6, 2021] Dear RVU Family, Today’s tragic events at the US Capitol have triggered emotions of shock and uncertainty for many of us. As a military physician, I had the honor to serve in the Office of the Attending Physician to Congress for one year within the Capitol, caring for Supreme Court Justices and members of Congress. Every day I walked those hallowed halls recounting the history, the trials, and the sacrifices made to preserve freedom and democracy for the entire world.  As I shared these thoughts […]
