DESCRIPTION:Join the RVU chapter of ACOS-MSS together with Shannon Acker\, MD to discuss the ins and outs of pediatric surgery. Dr. Acker currently holds a position as an Assistant Professor with the University of Colorado and practices at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Acker received her doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in 2010 and completed both her General Surgery residency\, where she became the Chief Resident\, and Pediatric Surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado. Her clinical interests include neonatal surgery and minimally invasive surgery on infants and children including thoracic/lung surgery\, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. She is an active researcher and has over 140 publications to her name.
