Dr. Crimin received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences College of Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa in 1987. He completed a one-year General Medicine Rotating Internship in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a two-year Family Medicine Residency at the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation and Family Medicine Center.
He holds specialty board certifications in both Family Practice and Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. Crimin was employed by Intermountain Healthcare and practiced in Richfield Utah from 1990-2017. His practice included General Family, Hospital, and Emergency Medicine. He was also employed by Avalon Healthcare for 26 years as the Medical Director and House Doc for the Richfield Rehabilitation and Care Center Skilled Nursing Facility. He completed AMDA Certification for Medical Director (CMD) for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care in 2013. In addition, Dr. Crimin was Hospice Medical Director for Intermountain Central Utah Hospice in Richfield from 2000 - 2019 and now is currently Medical Director in the St. George Hospice office. He also served as a board member of the six County Central Utah Public Board of Health from 2000-2017.
Dr. Crimin recently joined the new Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine Southern Utah campus in Ivins, Utah. As a member of the inaugural clinical faculty, he is Assistant Professor of Primary Care Medicine and the Medical Director of the Southern Utah Veterans Home.
Dr. Crimin is an avid daily swimmer in his endless pool and cycles to work daily. He loves skiing in the winter and boating in the summer. He also enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and photography. He recently competed in the “2017 escape from Alcatraz Sharkfest” swim, 1.5 miles from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco in 59 degrees shark-infested water without a wet suit. He placed 3rd in his age group category.
Dr. Crimin and his wife, Rochelle, are the parents of three sons and one daughter. They have four grandchildren.
