Dr. Pryor earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology from UCLA, a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in epidemiology from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California, and is board-certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He spent more than twenty years in Pacific island countries working as a medical practitioner, educator, researcher, administrator, and bioethicist, and now serves Rocky Vista University as the Vice-Chair & Professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practice, and as Co-Director of the Global Medicine Track. He has been drawn repeatedly to the challenge of newly developing and rapidly evolving medical training programs and finds the opportunity here at RVU to be exciting and fulfilling. Dr. Pryor’s continued interests in osteopathic medicine, global medicine, bioethics, integrative care, health & wellness, interprofessional education, academic medicine, and physician entrepreneurship keep him involved in a variety of academic and clinical pursuits and spurs his ongoing professional education and personal development.
