Hello RVU Students,

The COVID-19 Response Team is issuing a challenge to all students to Get Boosted and Fight COVID! If you have already been boosted, upload a PDF of your vaccination card to SentryMD here by February 11th.

The booster shot plays an important role in preventing unnecessary absences from both work and school due to quarantine. As an example let’s look at two cases:

  • Student A has been vaccinated with two doses of the Moderna vaccine with the last dose given 6 months ago.  If student A is exposed to someone with COVID-19, he would have to quarantine for 5 days. This quarantine would be avoided with a booster shot.
  • Student B has been vaccinated with two doses of Moderna vaccine followed by a booster shot 5 months later. If student B is exposed to someone with COVID-19, she does not have to quarantine. No missed labs or makeup exams.

The most recent CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19 booster shots can be found here or by scanning the QR code below. Looking for a vaccination site? Check out state resources for Colorado here and for Southern Utah here.

Please submit a PDF of your vaccination card using the SentryMD upload portal, which can be accessed here: https://mysentrymd.com/sentrymd.html#/upload/39. We hope this direct link makes it easier to submit proof of your booster shot by February 11th.
