Dear RVU Family,
We have successfully completed our first week of the new academic year - CONGRATULATIONS!
While we would prefer in-person welcomes, lectures, and activities it has been great to see the unified participation happening virtually between both campuses.
We thank each and every one of you for doing your part in following our safety protocols this past week. We are thrilled that we had no major issues with our reintegration!
Below are some important announcements and reminders:
- COVID-19 Stats. The US surpassed 4 million cases this week, with 143,868 deaths. Colorado has 42,314 cases with 1,786 related deaths. Utah has 36,962 cases, with 273 related deaths.
- On-Campus Study Spaces. There is ample study space on both campuses! The Utah Break-Out Room Reservation System can be accessed here, and the Colorado Study Room Reservation System can be found here. Please review the Utah and Colorado Reservation System Policies and Procedures if you haven't done so already.
- Staggered Work Shifts. A reminder to all managers, please continue to monitor the staggered on-campus work hour schedules for your team as per your Departmental Reintegration Plans. We are following the CDHE safety recommendation of reducing the number of people in the workplace at the same time.
- Studying/Working from Home. Just about all of us will be spending a significant amount of time studying or working at our desks from home. James Harley, OMS III created a brief video on Home Ergonomics/Tips for Working at Home with the endorsement of Chris Edwards, DO from our OPP Department. Click here to view the video.
Thank you for your engagement and your commitment to excellence as we work together to make this a great academic year! Have a wonderful weekend.
Professionally yours,
The COVID-19 Response Team
