Dear RVU Family:

We have completed another successful week here at RVU; keep up the great work!

The CRT would especially like to extend a thank you to our Contact Tracing Sub Committee and volunteer RVU Contact Tracers who have been and will continue to be busy working on cases since launching the Contact Tracing Self-Reporting form.  As a reminder, if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or believe you have it, please complete the Contact Tracing Self-Reporting form here.

Thank you for those of you who joined us today for the CRT Town Hall at noon. The RVU Reintegration Plan was reviewed, the new Contact Tracing policy and procedures was reviewed, and our student leaders, Zoe Roth and Paul Yang, shared their perspectives on the CRT.

Click here for the Mediasite recording of the CRT Town Hall (starts at 02:12).

Here are a couple of myth busters:

MYTH: I don’t need to wear a mask if I am 6 feet away from others.

FACT: It’s not either wear a mask or remain 6 feet apart from others; it’s both. Wearing a mask and physically distancing at least 6 feet apart is for everyone’s protection, including yours.

MYTH Masks should only be worn in large gatherings.

FACT: If you leave home, you should wear a mask. You need to wear a mask in all public places like grocery stores, pharmacies, and other businesses. You don’t need to wear a mask when you’re outside and other people are far away from you (hiking, biking, etc.).

Therefore, please wear your masks and keep 6 feet apart from others while on campus and also while off campus! Please help decrease the number of reports regarding concerns about our students not appropriately social distancing.

Have a wonderful and safe weekend. Stay RVU strong and remember Resilience, Valor, and Unity.

Best Regards,

COVID-19 Response Team
