Cadavers have a pivotal role in the education of osteopathic medicine students at Rocky Vista University.Through dissection and manipulation, students learn the intricacies and complexities of the human body, providing them with a better understanding of how to treat future patients.

The Anatomical Board of the State of Colorado is responsible for making arrangements, receiving, and distributing humanity gifts to schools that use cadaveric materials for educational purposes, as well as for the advancement of science.
