Biographical Information


Dennis Kinder, MD, FACP, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Washington State University and then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Washington. Dr. Kinder completed his residency at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah before joining Northwestern Colorado as a primary care provider alongside Thomas N. Told, DO, FCOFP-dist., Dean of RVUCOM. After relocation to Craig, Colorado, he became an Internist and cared for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical problems. In addition, he was the main ICU/CCU doctor, worked as the Emergency Room Physician, and at times, was first assistant to the surgeon. He joined the Rocky Vista Health Center as a Staff Physician and Rocky Vista University as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in 2014. In 2018, he was named Medical Director of the Rocky Vista Health Center.

Dr. Kinder became an outdoor enthusiast at the age of forty, proving anyone can go from couch to triathlon! He has completed three Ironman triathlons, several marathons, several half and Olympic triathlons, and plans to continue running, biking and swimming.
