RVU-MCOM Clinical Education

Doctor explaining scan to medical student.

For the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at Rocky Vista University’s Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVU-MCOM), in-network clinical rotation sites are in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, North and South Dakota, Washington, and Alaska. RVU-MCOM also shares an extensive network of clinical rotations with our CO/UT campus.  OMS-III core and required rotations are determined by a template match process.

The clinical rotation assignment schedule is issued to students prior to beginning externships each year.  The Montana clinical education program assignments, while applying partial regional designations, focus primarily on career pathway advising. All externship assignments are considered final.  A student may request to change their assigned externship 90-days prior to the start of the externship; however, there is no guarantee that the change will be possible. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the Office of Clinical Education at [email protected].
