Rocky Vista University (RVU) knows the importance of support when it comes to the medical student journey. They will be working long, hard hours and they will need the support of their family and friends. During their time at RVU there are two major events that are the key to beginning of their road to becoming a doctor. The first is during their first year, which is the White Coat Ceremony, family and friends are invited to the White Coat Ceremony and celebrate the medical student beginning of their journey and being coated. The last major event is Commencement which will be at the end of their fourth-year.
RVU offers a wealth of academic, social and cultural activities and events throughout the year through student clubs and organizations. Current RVU students will have access to all the events through the student calendar.
RVU knows the importance of community involvement, our medical students are taught the importance of giving back to the community, especially while in medical school. You will see a lot of our students volunteering at marathons, Ironman and many community activities. RVU hosts two major community events which we hold at our campus; the Spring Community Health Fair and the Fall Festival. These community events are open to the public, providing free services and booths, it's all about giving back to our community. (*Due to Covid, these events may be virtual or cancelled).
