Dear Students,
Important Update: The implementation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act has afforded Universities across the country the opportunity to provide COVID-19 Emergency Grant funding to students in need.
Rocky Vista University (RVU) will begin awarding emergency financial aid grants to students, once funding is available, for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus (including eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care).
The first round of applications will be accepted starting tomorrow April 15, 2020 to April 24, 2020. Completed COVID-19 Grant applications (which include a personal statement and back up documentation) need to be submitted to Student Financial Services at sfs@rvu.edu or at sfssu@rvu.edu no later than 5 pm April 24, 2020, for consideration. No exceptions will be made.
Students with the greatest need will be given priority and funding is limited. Only one COVID-19 Grant will be awarded per applicant. COVID-19 Grant award amounts will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Once we review the first round of applications per the policy, we will re-open the application if funding is still available, until all COVID-19 Grant funds have been exhausted.
Important Reminder: Students needing emergency assistance will need to submit an application and will be required to write a personal statement and submit it along with back-up documentation. Please add COVID-19 Emergency Grant to the e–mail subject line. No incomplete applications will be reviewed. The COVID-19 Emergency Grant application is attached or you may access the application through My Vista/Financial Aid Tabs/Office of Student Financial Services Updates/COVID-19 Emergency Grant Application starting tomorrow, April 15th.
Please direct any questions to Student Financial Services at sfs@rvu.edu or at sfssu@rvu.edu.
