The mission of the Rocky Vista University Campus Advocacy, Response, and Education (CARE) Team is to identify students who are displaying concerning behavior. The CARE Team facilitates connecting those students with campus or community resources in an effort to assist in their wellbeing and academic success.
The purpose of the CARE Team is:
-
To receive and gather information regarding potentially harmful or disruptive behavior with regard to safety and rights of others and to minimize the disruption to the University community.
-
To collaboratively recommend preventative and purposeful individualize interventions to ensure a safe environment where learning, personal growth, and professional development can occur.
-
To follow up to determine if further intervention is needed, evaluate effectiveness of intervention strategies, and make further recommendations as warranted.
The Care Team serves as an advisory group to the Provost and Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
