[October 8, 2020 – Ivins, UT]
In lieu of an in-person festival, Rocky Vista University (RVU) will be hosting a Virtual Fall Health Fair during the month of October. The event is free for the public to participate in and will take place through RVU’s social media channels starting Monday, October 19th.
RVU students have created over thirty interactive activities for children, adults, and senior citizens such as DIY stethoscope crafts and protective masks, an edible bone model, an “I Spy” 5K Walk family activity, crossword puzzles, healthy fall recipes, and of course, the much-anticipated Halloween Costume Contest. Group activities will need to observe social distancing and/or mask wearing mandates.
Those wishing to participate in the fair can share their photos submissions via social media in one of two ways (though we recommend using both).
- Use the hashtags #RVUSUFallHealthFair and, for the costume contest only, #RVUSUcostumecontest, in the caption of the post,
- Use the @mention tag in the caption so RVU can see your post. For Facebook, it is @RockyVistaUniversitySouthernUtah and on Instagram, it is @rvusu,
- If posting from a private account, it is recommended that participants email their photo submissions to marketing@rvu.edu as RVU will not be able to see the hashtag or the @mention tag.
Social media participation is required to be eligible to win daily and weekly gift card prizes! There will also be a grand prize drawing when the contest ends on Saturday, October 31st. Any photos that are submitted will be shared or reposted on RVU’s official channels. Parents must submit photos on behalf of their children – no underage submissions will be allowed.
