Guided by Dean Heather Ferrill, this memorable occasion invites students to proudly reveal and celebrate their match results, surrounded by the encouraging presence of peers, RVU faculty, and staff. This tradition has always been a highlight – full of excitement, joy, and community spirit – and we warmly encourage you to be part of it!

To better honor students as they complete their pre‑clinical education and move into the clinical phase of training, the schedule for the White Coat Ceremony has been updated. The Class of 2030 White Coat Ceremony will now be held in Fall 2028. Additional details, including guest ticketing information, will be shared as the date approaches.
To welcome the Class of 2030 to the Colorado and Utah campuses, we will introduce a Medical School Induction Ceremony. This event will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. The format will differ from previous years: second‑year students will coat the incoming class as a symbolic “passing of the baton.” Following the ceremony, students will join RVU faculty and staff for a light reception. This event will be limited to RVU faculty, staff and students.
