Students at Rocky Vista University may seek diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic health services at the provider of their choice. Information is provided on this website as a resource to assist students in seeking health care services that are available both on campus and off-campus.

Faculty and Staff can call the FAST line if they are concerned about a student 844-208-7070. You are also encouraged to complete the iNet form - https://inet.rvu.edu/concern/.

ConfidentialityConfidentiality is essential for effective treatment. All licensed mental health providers are bound by ethics and the law to maintain client confidentiality. For this reason, counseling records are not connected in any way to university records or official transcripts. People or offices outside of RVU are not authorized to receive client information about client visits to counseling and cannot view counseling files except by the written consent of the client. Confidentiality may be broken if, in the judgment of the treating provider, there is a concern about serious threat to self or others, the suspected abuse of a child, person over the age of 65, or vulnerable adult, or a court order by a judge.

RESOURCES

The RVU Counseling Center provides counseling to students and their immediate family members free of charge. Referrals to off-campus providers are made as needed, to providers that accept the student’s insurance.

There are many resources available to assist students in navigating the process of managing stressors and building the life of a physician.

In addition to the on-campus resources, RVU encourages students to reach out to community resources.
