About the Mental Health and Wellness Counselor:
Kären Robinson, LPC, serves as the Mental Health and Wellness Counselor for RVU’s Colorado Campus. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She practices primarily with a cognitive behavioral approach, integrating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She strives to practice cultural humility, welcomes the opportunity to work with people of diverse backgrounds, and works to create a more inclusive and equitable environment. She lives with her husband and dog, and enjoys cultural events such as theatre, concerts, and festivals. As the majority of her clinical experience has been within the context of college counseling, she is excited to serve the students of RVU and to contribute to the success of new medical professionals in Colorado.
